Dato'
Dr. Abd Shukor Bin Ahmad is the the Managing Partner of
the law firm, Shukor Baljit & Partners. Dato' Dr.
Abd Shukor obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B (Hons))
from the University of Malaya. He was called to the Bar
in March 1997. He also holds a Masters of Laws degree
(LL.M) from University of Malaya majoring in Air and Space
Law, Commercial and Public Law. He had also successfully
obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Syariah Law & Practice
(DSLP) and A Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Law (Islamic
Banking) (EDIL) from International Islamic University.
He has also completed his doctoral degree in Constitutional
law and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy
in Law (PhD) from International Islamic University.
Dato'
Dr. Abd. Shukor is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute
of Arbitrators, United Kingdom, Malaysian Institute of
Arbitrators and a Fellow of the Arbitration and Mediation
Institute of New Zealand. He is also a Certified Mediator.

Dr. Abd. Shukor has experience in handling both the litigation
and corporate fields. In the field of litigation he has
appeared in court at all levels including the Court of
Appeal and Federal Court, representing Developers, Banks,
Companies and individual in multifarious areas ranging
from injunctions, land disputes to complex area of liquidations,
receivers and managers, arbitration and construction contracts.

In
the area of corporate conveyancing, our Dato' Dr. Abd. Shukor
has experience in drafting the various documents involving companies'
formation, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and capital
markets. He is also one of the few solicitors in the country who
is very familiar with the air and space law having been involved
in the drafting of various space related activities including
the manufacturing, launching and transfer of risks and insurance
contracts.
Despite
his busy schedule Dato' Dr. Abd. Shukor has always found time
to conduct seminars and talks to various audiences. He is a regular
speaker for training in the developments banks. He has also published
extensively in the referred journals.
Dato'
Dr Abd. Shukror has training experience for Certificate of Legal
Practise Programme under Legal Practise Qualifying Board.
He
has, in 2009 launched his first book "Legal Aspects
of Hire Purchase".
He
was awarded "Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang" by His Royal
Highness Sultan of Pahang in 2009 for his services to the State
of Pahang.
He
is also a member of the Market Participants Committee of the Bursa
Malaysia Berhad having been appointed to that position since 2013.
